Terms of Use

Effective date: May 1, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the MixAware iOS app and related services. By using MixAware, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use MixAware.

1. Nature of MixAware

MixAware is an informational reference application. It helps users learn about possible interaction risks between medications, over-the-counter drugs, supplements, foods, alcohol, caffeine, wellness products, peptides, and other user-entered substances.

MixAware provides informational risk education only. It is not a medical service, medical device, clinical service, diagnostic tool, treatment platform, prescribing tool, poison control service, or emergency service.

2. No Medical Advice

MixAware does not provide medical advice. Nothing in MixAware should be interpreted as diagnosis, prescription, treatment, disease prevention, disease monitoring, medical guidance, pharmacological recommendation, or professional consultation.

Use of MixAware does not create a doctor-patient relationship, pharmacist-patient relationship, clinician-patient relationship, or any other professional relationship.

3. What MixAware Does Not Do

MixAware does not:

4. Informed Consent and User Acknowledgement

Before using MixAware, you may be asked to review and accept an informed consent notice. By accepting that notice and using the app, you acknowledge that MixAware is limited, informational, and not a substitute for professional medical judgment.

You agree not to rely on MixAware as the sole or primary basis for decisions about medications, supplements, foods, alcohol, caffeine, peptides, recreational substances, or any health-related issue.

5. “No Known Interaction Found” Does Not Mean Safe

If MixAware displays “No known interaction found” or similar wording, this means only that MixAware did not identify a known interaction in available data for that check.

It does not mean that the combination is safe, approved, recommended, appropriate, or risk-free. Absence of identified information is not confirmation of safety.

6. AI-Assisted Review

MixAware uses local interaction data first. When local data does not resolve a pair, MixAware may use AI-assisted review to generate limited informational support.

AI-assisted results may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, misleading, or wrong. AI-assisted results are not reviewed or validated by a licensed clinician unless explicitly stated. You should not rely on AI-assisted output as medical advice or as a safety determination.

7. Limitations of Information

Results provided by MixAware may be incomplete, outdated, inaccurate, or not specific to your circumstances. MixAware may not include every medication, brand, ingredient, supplement, food, recreational substance, peptide, route of administration, formulation, dose, timing pattern, frequency of use, health condition, or personal risk factor.

Interaction risks may depend on age, pregnancy, breastfeeding, kidney function, liver function, heart disease, allergies, genetics, drug metabolism, tolerance, dose, route, formulation, frequency, substance purity, medical history, lab results, and other factors that MixAware may not know or evaluate.

8. Consult a Professional

Before starting, stopping, adjusting, combining, or changing any medication, supplement, food, alcohol, caffeine, peptide, wellness product, or other substance, you should consult a doctor, pharmacist, or qualified clinician who can evaluate your individual situation.

This is especially important if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, elderly, a minor, living with a chronic condition, taking prescription medications, using controlled substances, or managing a substance-use concern.

9. Emergency Situations

MixAware is not for emergencies. If you or someone else may be experiencing overdose, poisoning, severe symptoms, suicidal intent, chest pain, trouble breathing, loss of consciousness, seizure, severe bleeding, severe allergic reaction, extreme confusion, or rapidly worsening symptoms, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.

For poisoning concerns in the United States, contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222. Do not use MixAware as a substitute for emergency medical care.

10. No Encouragement of Illegal or Unsafe Use

MixAware does not endorse, encourage, facilitate, or instruct illegal drug use, medication misuse, unsafe substance use, or unsafe combining of substances.

Any information about recreational or controlled substances is provided only for informational and harm-reduction purposes.

11. Accounts and Access

MixAware may require Sign in with Apple or may allow limited anonymous preview use. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and account. You may delete your account through the app if account deletion is available in your version.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we believe the app is being misused, abused, attacked, scraped, or used in a way that may harm the service, other users, or the public.

12. User Responsibility

You remain responsible for how you use the information provided by MixAware. You agree that you will not use MixAware as the sole basis for medical, medication, supplement, alcohol, food, peptide, or substance-use decisions.

You are responsible for entering accurate information and for seeking professional guidance when needed.

13. Intellectual Property

MixAware, including its design, text, structure, software, database organization, and branding, is owned by its developer or licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, modify, or redistribute MixAware or its content except as permitted by law or with written permission.

14. Third-Party Services

MixAware may rely on third-party services for hosting, authentication, analytics, diagnostics, AI-assisted review, and infrastructure. Your use of MixAware may also be subject to those services’ terms and policies where applicable.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

MixAware is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, and availability.

We do not guarantee that MixAware will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure, current, or free of errors.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MixAware and its developers, owners, employees, contractors, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or health-related damages arising from or related to your use of or reliance on MixAware.

This includes any harm, loss, adverse outcome, medical event, substance-use event, data loss, or damages resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, unavailable, or misunderstood information.

17. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, on this website, or by other appropriate means. Continued use of MixAware after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
